BottomLine State Software Setup

Setting Up BottomLine

  1. Go to https://ws2.ost.state.ok.us/wsapp/

  2. Add the web site to the Compatibility View List.  To do this, click on the gear icon in the top-right corner and select Compatibility View Settings on the drop-down menu.  This will open a new window that will automatically have "state.ok.us" in the Add this website: bar.  Click the Add button and it will add it to Compatibility View.

  3. Add the site to Trusted Sites.  To do this, click on the gear icon in the top-right corner and select Internet Options on the drop-down menu, which will open a new window.  Select the Security tab on the top, followed by the Trusted Sites button with a green checkmark on it.  From there, click on the Sites button, which will open the Trusted Sites window and have "https://ws2.ost.state.ok.us" in the Add this website to the zone box.  Click the Add button and it will add it to the list of trusted websites.
Do not close out the Internet Options window, as you will need it for the next step.
  4. Lastly, under the Internet Options window and Security tab, you will have to click on the Custom Level button under the "Security level for this zone", which will open a new window titled Security Settings - Trusted Site Zone.

  5. Scroll down the list until you get to the ActiveX controls and plug-ins radio buttons.  Enable the following options for ActiveX...
  • ActiveX Allow Scriplets
  • Automatic Prompting for ActiveX Controls

  1. All other ActiveX options should be set to Prompt where applicable.  Any ActiveX options that do not have a Prompt option should just be left at their default setting.

*Note that the end-user requires a separate login to the site in order to test compatibility.  It should also be noted that these Internet Options need to be set for each user individually on the computer.
