What is a MAC Address

A MAC address is the physical address of a computers NIC (Network Interface Card). MAC address’s consist of letters A-F, are 12 characters long, and consist of numbers 0-9.

MAC addresses are assigned by the manufacturer and is stored in the hardware’s ROM (Read-Only Memory).
