Installing Internet Browsers

Note: NSU Campus computers will already have these browsers installed. These instructions are for users personal computers.

Chrome

1) From whichever default browser you have available, search for “Google Chrome” or click on the URL provided here https://www.google.com/chrome/

2) On the new webpage, click on the “Download Chrome” button in the middle of the screen. You will be prompted with a user agreement, after reading the agreement, click “Accept and Install”.

3) Your download will appear in the bottom or in your download folder (depending on the browser you are using) as “ChromeSetup.exe”. Click on it and (if prompted) click yes to allow admin rights and begin the Chrome installation.

Allow the installation process to run, you will be prompted with a message stating the installation has been successfully installed when finished.

 

Firefox

1) From whichever default browser you have available, search for “Firefox” or click on the URL provided here https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

2) On the new webpage, click the “Download Now”. The download will appear either at the bottom of the page or in the “Download” folder, this depends on your browser. Download will read as Firefox Installer.exe.

3) Click on the installer and click “yes” if prompted for admin rights. Then allow the installation to resume. The installation window will prompt you when the installation is done.

Note: Internet Explorer and Edge will be pre-installed with every version of Windows 10.
