Joining a Zoom Meeting

Joining a Zoom meeting can be done by using a meeting ID or a web link with the meeting ID embedded. The free Zoom software needs to be installed to join a meeting and can be downloaded from https://www.zoom.us/download.

Join by Meeting ID

The meeting ID is provided by the instructor or host of the meeting.

Start Zoom and click join a meeting button.

Enter the Meeting ID. You may also set your screen name.

Click Join. Continuing reading at Join Audio.

Join by Web Link

The instructor or host can provide a web link that can be clicked or pasted into a web browsers address bar.

The web link looks similar to:  https://nsuok.zoom.us/j/123123123

The web browser will usually ask permission to open Zoom. This example image is from the Chrome browser and will look different depending on the browser used. Click yes/open.

Join Audio

Zoom may pop up with a Join Audio option. Click the green button “Join Audio Conference by Computer”.

You should now be in the meeting with audio.
