Common Web Page Error Codes

1) A list of error codes:

  • 400 - Bad Request
  • 404 - Page Not Found 
  • 500- Internal Server Error 

2) A web site's IP address can change and the new IP Address of a web page can conflict with a previously stored IP address that was stored by your local DNS

  • Update your local DNS to resolve this by flushing out your DNS cache


Flushing the DNS

1) Open the command prompt by typing CMD in the Windows search bar

2) Once in the CMD, type ipconfig /flushdns

3) The following message should display a successful execution of the command

  • Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache

4) Once the DNS has been reset, navigate back to a web page and the IP address of that web page will be updated in the DNS
