Setting a DNS to Automatic

Navigating to the DNS page

1) Open the Windows Control Panel, Once there Under Network and Internet select View Network Status and Task.

2) Once there, select the current connection type that is being used listed under Active Networks.

3) Click the blue connection type, the name will vary depending on if the connection is over Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

4) Once selected, choose the Properties icon.

5) Double click the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)

6) You will want to make sure that both the IP address and DNS are set to be obtained automatically, all other fields should be greyed out.

7) Once this has been set, disconnecting and reconnecting to the network will refresh the settings and the computer will have internet connectivity.
