Setting Parent tickets to Children tickets

Setting a Parent to a child 

1) Obtain the ticket number of the Parent ticket. 

2) Create a ticket that pertains to the same issue as the Parent and then select Actions

3) Once selected, choose Set Parent under the Actions tab

4) A seperate box will appear, and you will put the ticket number of the Parent in this box. (The box should automatically drop down with the Parent ticket once entered)


5) Once set, the incident will be added as Child 

Updating a Parent Ticket

1) Select Actions on the Parent tickt

2) Under the Actions tab, select update.

3) Once selected, check the Cascade checkbox under the New Status option.

4) Once updated, all Children tickets will mirror the updates of the Parent.
