Posted 8/7/2020 - NSU-ParkingLot Wi-Fi renamed to NSU-Wireless today (8/7/2020)

NSU Information Technology Services will be renaming the Wi-Fi available in the parking lot east of the Webb building in Tahlequah.

The NSU-ParkingLot SSID will be converted to NSU-Wireless. The update will also require a valid NSU username and password to obtain access.

Posted 7/8/2020 - NSU-Wireless in the Webb Building

NSU Information Technology Services will be replacing the wireless network hardware in the Webb Building on the Tahlequah campus on Wednesday, July 8th.

There will be a new wireless network for you to connect your personal devices to called NSU-Wireless.

Posted 6/29/2020 - ​​​​Adobe Creative Cloud Update

Starting on July 6th, the temporary at-home access, granted by Adobe, for Adobe Creative Cloud will end for students on personal devices.

Adobe Creative Cloud can still be accessed on standard NSU computers, as well as by logging in to the Virtual Desktop.

Posted 5/5/2020 - ​​​​Spring 2020 Computer Replacement

ITS has been given the approval to proceed with this round of computer replacements. You have an assigned computer(s) that is a part of this round. ITS will begin replacing computers on the Broken Arrow campus on May 4th, 2020, the Muskogee campus on May 7th, 2020, and the Tahlequah campus on May 8th, 2020.

Every effort will be made to ensure your documents are transferred from your existing computer to your new computer safely. We will move all files in the following locations to your new computer.

  • Documents
  • Desktop
  • Pictures
  • Bookmarks
  • Music

The computer replacement schedule can be viewed here to verify computer location and target replacement date. All dates are subject to change due to actual implementation time and issues. Posted 4/24/2020 - ​​​​Urgent Banner Maintenance

Information Technology Services will be installing a Financial Aid patch into the Banner system Monday, April 27, 2020 beginning at 5:15 PM to address regulatory changes for the 2020/2021 aid year.

There is an expected downtime of all Banner related systems of ~2 hours. During this time Banner, Self-Service Banner, and Degree Works will be inaccessible. GreenMail, Blackboard, and our web sites will remain operational.

Posted 3/23/2020 - NSU IT Service Desk going remote

Due to the switch to online classes until April 5th, the NSU IT Service Desk has decided to start working remote 8am-5pm starting March 23rd and until further notice. We will not be able to answer the phone calls due to limited resources and instead have moved to Zoom.

Posted 3/13/2020 - NSU IT Service Desk hours changing until further notice

Due to the switch to online classes until April 5th, the NSU IT Service Desk has decided to change working hours from 7am-11pm to 8am-8pm starting March 23rd and until further notice.

Lab shifts will be staffed from 5pm-8pm on weekdays and 8am-8pm on weekends. Office hours will continue to be 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.

Posted 1/28/2020 - Shared Accounts Going Away


In an effort to align NSU's technology practices with the State of Oklahoma - Information Security Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines, we have identified a need to mitigate Shared Accounts at Northeastern State University.

A Shared Account is when the same username and password to an account is shared among a group of people. These accounts are often shared with Non-NSU Members, Visitors and Guests, Employees and Students (former and current) which violates State policy. These accounts also have elevated access to many of NSU's systems.

We will begin taking action on shared accounts which have not been used within the past 60 days, per Section 2.3 of the State of Oklahoma - Information Security Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines, by deactivating them. These accounts will not be reactivated.

You may assist us in mitigating this effort by submitting a ticket to specify student worker(s) and employee(s) who need access, which they are currently utilizing through the Shared Account, assigned to their NSU User Account. You may refer to the following services to create a ticket:

NSU IT Service Desk

The NSU IT Service Desk is available to assist and troubleshoot issues with you. Our working hours are Sunday through Saturday - 8:00AM to 8:00PM (central time zone).

We are available for assistance by calling 918-444-5678. You can also create a ticket through our Client Portal or by emailing help@nsuok.edu.

Walk-In Assistance

The front desk of the NSU IT Service Desk operational hours are 8:00AM to 8:00PM as well. Please feel free to come if you would like to assist in-person. We have a Plexiglas installed to maintain social distancing and clean our stations often.
